Objective:   Satisfy what required by laws and by supermarket chains in terms of produce traceability. This is also an important part of the Global GAP procedures.
The implementation of a traceability system, allow, starting from the unit of the final product (box, tray, bag) to track back to the producer farm and the specific block, providing informations about the production process (first of all, pesticides use) along the chain backward until planting.
To this aim, the farm is divided into blocks clearly identified on the ground and named with a code and all necessary documents are issued and up-to-dated, such as: planimetry, blocks encoding card, cultivation plan board, registry of deliveries, etc.
When the produce arrive at the packhouse, the personel take care of keep separate produce of different lots during all the stages of processing and identify the final product unit with a code on the label, indicating the farm, the block, the date of harvesting and processing, etc.
